Sail250 x Jefferson’s Bourbon

Guests designed their own yacht racing flags on tablets, choosing graphics, colors, and layouts, which the crew printed on sublimation paper and heat pressed onto premium flags.

Designs went from tablet to finished flag in minutes. The crew ran full production at a waterfront pop-up on Pier 16, then packed up and kept sublimating flags aboard a moving tall ship during the final evening sail.

Guests sipped handcrafted cocktails on Pier 16 with the historic tall ships and East River as a backdrop, then used an in-house mobile app to build their own flag design. They handed it off to the live production team and watched it get printed and pressed in real time before walking away with a one-of-a-kind flag.

Jefferson’s Bourbon, the Official American Whiskey of Sail4th 250, teamed up with 160over90 and Family Industries to give harbor guests something they couldn’t get anywhere else. Taking the sublimation setup onto a sailing tall ship for VIP guests pushed it further, turning a land activation into a live production run on open water.
