Reinventing the "doggy bag" with custom tote bags featuring every guest's fur baby.
The Lowdown
One hundred and fifty years in, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show still feels electric — and this year in New York City, the energy was off the leash. Generations of handlers, breeders, and dog lovers gathered to celebrate the pinnacle of purebred excellence, and right in the middle of all that legacy, Purina and Momentum Worldwide delivered an experience that felt completely now.
Purina quickly became the stop everyone was talking about. Why? Because instead of just celebrating champion dogs in the ring, we gave guests the chance to spotlight the real stars of their own lives, their dogs.
At our booth, the line wrapped and didn’t let up all weekend. Once guests made it to the front, they grabbed a tablet loaded with a custom Purina mobile app designed in-house by Family Industries. From there, it was pure joy. People uploaded photos of their pups, sometimes one, sometimes a whole pack, and paired them with a frame that matched their dog’s personality. Regal. Playful. Over-the-top fabulous. Every design felt personal.
Then came the magic moment.
Our live team printed each design onto sublimation paper and heat pressed it directly onto a fresh canvas tote. In just minutes, a simple bag became a walking tribute to someone’s best friend. The reactions were everything! wide eyes, happy tears, phones out capturing the reveal. Some guests came back again with new photos just to make another.
In a show built on prestige and perfection, this activation brought heart to the forefront. It wasn’t about trophies. It was about connection. And by the end of the weekend, the Javits was filled with custom totes featuring dogs of every shape, size, and expression imaginable — proof that personalization, when done right, steals the show every single time.
